About Us

About US

Founded in 2009, Palilogy Press has created quality zines, books, videos and broadsides. However, it is our world-famous 2011 zines that we are most known for.

Originally started as the collected works of Scott Ziegler — a librarian, archivist and book-maker located in Philadelphia, PA — Palilogy Press currently works with other artists and community groups.

About the Name

Palilogy is a rhetorical devise. It is the repitition of a word or phrase for the sake of emphasis.

Some of our favorite palilogies include:

Break, break, break,
On thy cold gray stones, O Sea!
And I would that my tongue could utter
The thoughts that arise in me.
(Alfred, Lord Tennyson)
You see? You see? Your stupid minds! Stupid! Stupid!
(Eros, Plan 9 from Outter Space)
Die Die Die my darling
(The Misfits)

About Trades

As outlined in our trade manifesto, we want to share our zines and books with everyone who we think will like them. We’ll accept money for them (and we do, from time to time), but we prefer to trade.
